Workshop Reflections

Experiences and insights shared by those who have joined my workshops and explored their own journey of awareness, growth, and discovery.

Awakening Intuition: Learning to Listen to the First Response

One of the things that became clear during this workshop was that even the little things can be signs of intuition trying to tell us something. Intuition doesn't always arrive as a dramatic message or a profound revelation. Sometimes it is simply that first feeling, thought, image, or reaction that appears before we have a chance to analyze it.

To explore this, I gave each participant a giant Rider-Waite Tarot card and asked them to choose one. But there was an important distinction: I wasn't asking them to read the card. Instead, I wanted to know their immediate response.

What did they notice first?
What feeling did the card create?
What caught their attention?
What did they instinctively think or sense?

The purpose was to begin separating that immediate intuitive response from the part of the mind that wants to look at a card and say, “I know what this card means.”

We then repeated the exercise using The Shaman Oracle Deck.

This time, the participants had no previous knowledge of the cards or their traditional meanings to fall back on. They couldn't rely on something they had already learned. They had to go with what they immediately felt, noticed, or sensed when they encountered the card. And that was the point.

Intuition doesn't always require knowledge. Sometimes it asks us to trust what we notice before we understand why we noticed it. This workshop was another step in learning how to recognize that quiet inner voice—and perhaps, most importantly, learning to give it permission to speak before the analytical mind takes over.

The attendees came away with a deeper understanding of what each energy center does and how the energy flows from back to front through the body. They also learned how all of the centers are interconnected through the Sushumna Nadi.

Through hands-on experiences, they explored what the different color systems feel like within the body and learned to recognize the energetic sensations associated with each center. They also experienced what it feels like when an energy center is shut down or blocked, giving them a more personal and intuitive understanding of how these centers affect the body and the flow of energy.

Participants who attended this workshop left with a heightened curiosity about the intricacies of the energetic system. Many expressed a desire for greater detail, noting that the session provided them with substantial food for thought. They were surprised by the complexity of the energetic system and sought further understanding to deepen their knowledge. This interest highlights the need for additional resources or follow-up sessions to explore the nuances of energy dynamics and their implications more thoroughly.

Participants in the Tying of the Knot workshop were surprised to discover the profound strength of their thoughts. Many left with a newfound awareness that the beliefs and narratives instilled in them during their upbringing could significantly influence their experiences. A recurring question emerged among attendees: "Why do I keep repeating the same patterns?" They grappled with the frustration of attracting individuals they consciously wished to avoid in their lives. This realization sparked a deeper exploration into the connection between their thought patterns, subconscious beliefs, and the relationships they were manifesting. The workshop illuminated the need for further understanding of how to break these cycles and create healthier dynamics moving forward.

During the "Who Walks With Me?" workshop, participants expressed a newfound awareness of the presence of their spirit guides, recognizing that they are never truly alone. This realization brought a sense of comfort and connection, as attendees acknowledged the constant support surrounding them. However, many also shared their uncertainty about identifying the specific guides accompanying them on their journey. This sparked a desire for deeper exploration into the nature of these spiritual companions and how to cultivate a more conscious relationship with them. Participants left the workshop eager to learn more about recognizing and connecting with their guides, seeking to enhance their spiritual journey and understanding.

In the Permission Slip workshop, participants shared that they were initially uncertain about what they would firmly commit to with a "hard yes" or "no." I provided them with note cards to articulate their affirmations and rejections, allowing them to reflect on what they could embrace or what they felt unable to accept. This exercise significantly expanded their awareness of the thoughts and beliefs they carried. The concept of thresholds became a focal point of discussion. Participants contemplated whether, upon saying yes to something, they could envision themselves confidently walking through that door. Conversely, when they said no, they reflected on the opportunities that may have slipped by as a result of not crossing that threshold. This introspection prompted a deeper understanding of how their choices shape their experiences and the potential paths available to them. The feedback indicated a desire for further exploration of these themes, as participants recognized the importance of conscious decision-making in their lives.

In the Energy and Thought Workshop, participants expressed their surprise at the profound impact that thought and energy have on shaping their lives. Many were unaware that their thoughts could manifest into reality, influencing their experiences in significant ways. This was my first workshop with my primary group, and I emphasized that all future workshops are designed to guide them back to their inner selves, encouraging them to seek answers within rather than looking externally. One participant remarked, "I can't believe that what I have been thinking and saying is strong enough to either enhance or diminish my life." This revelation sparked a deep reflection on the power of their mindset and the language they use. The feedback highlighted a collective awakening to the importance of cultivating positive thoughts and energy, as well as a desire to explore further how these elements can be harnessed to create a more fulfilling life.
